We are ready to fight anyone threatening EFCC Boss - Arewa Youth

The Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) has indicated that they will continue to stand by the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa despite the numerous death threats.

This comes after the EFCC boss cried over the recent death threats he's been receiving following a series of prosecutions he's handling.

In a publication cited on Daily Trust, Mohammed Salihu Danlami, the speaker of AYA indicated its readiness to fight anyone responsible for the death threats on the EFCC boss.

According to Danlami, any attack or threat on the EFCC chairman is a threat to them, he said during his press briefing.

He noted that investigations will begin to fish out the perpetrators of the death threat and will also ensure the law deal with the offenders in other to serve as a deterrence to others.

“This threat should not be taken for granted. We as Youths of this country have shown our support and respect for the Chairman from when he was appointed and we are ready to stand behind him to accomplish his task”.

AYA was of the believe that threatening the EFCC Boss is a setback in the fight against corruption.
