• Sunday Igboho has denied attacking Pastor Adeboye

The Christian Association of Nigeria has said it would not comment on Sunday Igboho's recent attack on the General Overseer of the Redeem Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho on Sunday, May 9, 2021, made comments to mock the death of Dare Adeboye, son of Pastor Adeboye.

In a live broadcast with his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, on Saturday, May 8, 2021, when asked to send words of condolence to the family of late Dare Adeboye, he responded saying God will kill all the wives and children of all who fail to support the Yoruba nation secession.

This comment didn't go down well with many Nigeria as several backlashes condemning the activist flooded social media.

Pastor Bayo Oladeji, Special Adviser to the CAN President, Rev Supo Ayokunle, when contacted by SaharaReporters to speak on the attack, said that its outfit would not be speaking on the issue at the moment.

“I am sorry. No comment. If that is how you all see it, let it be. If CAN has been keeping quiet over the happenings in the country, if that is how you see it, too bad. We are not ready to reply Sunday Igboho," he said.

Following the backlash, Sunday Igboho has denied attacking the Pastor. According to him, his comment was to the elders who refuse to support the Yoruba nation agenda.
