Nigeria Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has said that everyone in Nigeria is guilty of corruption.
He made this statement while on Channels Television, speaking on Nigeria's transportation system.
Amaechi premised the cure to insecurity as employment and reduction in poverty. He cited unemployment as the root cause of insecurity fuelled by corruption.
Giving an illustration, he said: "When we have money and everybody believed in red culture, you meet Governor Amaechi, he gives you money, you didn't ask where he got it from, you build a house from the money Governor Amaechi gave to you.
"Instead of Governor Amaechi to use that money to build infrastructures that will create industries and those industries will create employment; he is giving it to you, you put in your pocket- all of us are guilty of it.
"Those people we denied that employment are the people on the street- it has nothing to do with religion," the Minister said.
