Watch as police officers allegedly refuse to rescue a victim from kidnappers

A video is making rounds of some police officers allegedly refusing to rescue a citizen from the den of kidnappers.

A man who recorded the video was heard shouting and questioning the policemen why they have refused to go into the bush to rescue his brother.

Although it is unknown where the incident occurred, the video showed police vehicles and officers positioned on the road.

The disgruntled man tried to persuade the police officers while attempting to capture their faces in order to help rescue his brother but his plea fell on deaf ears.

It is unknown what may have prevented the officers from embarking on the rescue mission despite making it to the area said to be leading to the actual location of the kidnappers.

Reacting to the video, several Nigerians took to X (formerly Twitter), to share their thoughts.

Many blamed the system for the policemen's failure to embark on the mission.

Others suggest the policemen may be working with the kidnappers hence their resistance.

Those men are victims of a failed system. I won't blame them

How are you even sure that police themselves stationed there ain’t in connivance with them kidnappers cos see how calm they were. It’s sad.

1. They are not trained.
2. They don't have any qualification to be a security personnel “Policeman”
3. They have no certificate or knowledge about the job they are hired to do.
4. They are not skilled

Refusing to go inside the bush to rescue a victim being kidnapped by gunmen, means one thing, they are also the beneficiary of the heist.
