A series of videos of the Nigeria army and police personnel shooting on the streets of Asaba in broad daylight has raised concerns.

The incident occurred on Monday, March 18, following the killing of 16 military personnel in Okuama community in Delta State.

It was reported that sixteen men of the Nigerian Army, including Lt. Col. AH Ali, Major Share, Major Obi and Captain Zakari, were ambushed by those identified as Okuama community youths.

They were said to have captured, killed and decapitated these military personnel last Thursday, March 14.

The killed officers had gone to the area to rescue a kidnapped youth, Anthony Aboh, an indigene of neighbouring Okoloba community in Bomadi Local Government Area, who was abducted over the lingering land dispute between the two communities.

This brought about upset among the security agencies in the country as they stormed Delta State.

In some videos that hit the internet, policemen with guns were seen on the streets, firing shots in the presence of residents who had gathered around.
