The former minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung has queried some supporters of President Bola Tinubu over their constant attacks on Peter Obi, the Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate.

In a post share on his X page, Dalung tackled Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on special adviser on information & strategy; Reno Omokri, former presidential aide under former President Goodluck Jonathan and Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar campaign in 2023.

He raised concerns over their actions saying that Peter Obi was not the only person who challenged Tinubu during the general elections.

“I have been praying to God to reveal to me why @aonanuga1956, @renoomokri, @BwalaDaniel, @BashirAhmaad only chose to attack @PeterObi, was he the only person who challenged @officialABAT in the 2023 elections? Or is there something they are trying to cover up? Something is amiss,” Dalung wrote.

His comment comes shortly after Bwala said Peter Obi is being hunted by the ghost he created.

He wrote on his X page on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, “BREAKING NEWS: The presidential candidate of @NgLabour at the 2023 elections @PeterObi is hunted by a ghost that he created. Sensing the obvious in the Labour Party to the effect that there is no automatic ticket, he has therefore threatened that if the party would not conform, he will leave.

“The Social Democratic Party, which he hopes to use the platform when the need arises, doesn’t give automatic tickets. Peter Obi feared that he may likely not win the delegate election because he is not a grassroot politician, he is presently in a quagmire.

“A former president is reported to be having it very difficult convincing nation’s statesmen to support the move because they prefer to give @officialABAT his due time to reform Nigeria,” Dwala said.
