Super Falcons forward Rasheedat Ajibade has stated that the team is ready and focused on winning their tenth Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
Nigeria remains the most successful country on the continent, having won the title a record nine times.
After failing to reach the final in the last edition, Justin Madugu’s side will be aiming to go all the way when the tournament kicks off in Morocco next month.
Speaking ahead of the competition, Ajibade—who will be featuring in her third WAFCON tournament—disclosed that the team is fully committed to claiming the title this year.
“We are focused on Mission X. For us, effort is everything,” the Atlético Madrid winger told CAFonline.
The Super Falcons are expected to arrive in Casablanca, Morocco on Wednesday, June 25, ahead of the tournament.
Nigeria will begin their campaign against Tunisia in Casablanca on Sunday, July 6.
