Some voters in Imo State were stopped from accessing their polling units as unknown gunmen believed to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) fired warning shots.

The commentary behind the viral video reads: "They are shooting guns everywhere. They are chasing people. They do not want us to vote - Labour Party"

The voters could be seen running for cover as the gunmen fired live rounds.

Imo State is among the five Eastern states reported to be observing the sit-at-home order.

Recall that early this year, the secessionist group vowed to render key politicians in Imo State politically irrelevant.

IPOB claimed that the politicians were behind the killings, destruction of properties, and insecurity in Imo State.

Emma Powerful, the spokesman of IPOB, said the politicians contributed to the pains of residents of Imo State.
