Lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor has urge Igbos to vote out all Igbo lawmakers in 2027 if Reno Omokri is cleared to become an ambassador.

Omokri was recently nominated for an ambassadorial role by President Bola Tinubu.

He appeared before the Senate on Thursday and was cleared for the role.

However, before the clearance, Ejiofor, who once served as lawyer to jailed terrorist, Nnamdi Kanu, warned against allowing Omokri to be cleared.

He wrote on Facebook, "If Reno Omokri @renoomokri Passes This Screening, 2027 Will Be a Political Judgment Day for All Igbo Senators; They Must Be Retired Home.

"I wish to state, without equivocation, that should Mr. Reno Omokri successfully scale through this Senate screening, I shall urge our people to prepare their voters’ cards with utmost readiness ahead of the 2027 elections. If, indeed, the sanctity of the ballot will be honoured and every vote permitted to count, then no incumbent Senator of Igbo extraction ought to anticipate a return to the Red Chamber. They should, in all fairness, prepare for a well-deserved retirement; assuming, of course, that the electoral process in 2027 will be allowed to function as it should.
