Former Governor of Edo State and Senator representing Edo North in the National Assembly, Adams Oshiomhole, has dismissed as false a viral video purportedly depicting him giving a woman a foot massage inside a private jet.

The brief clip, which surfaced earlier this week across social media platforms like X, Instagram, and TikTok, quickly garnered widespread attention and elicited strong reactions from Nigerians.

Critics largely condemned what they considered a display of extravagance, particularly in light of the country’s ongoing economic struggles and recent comments by the senator on rising food costs.

Online sources identified the woman in the footage as a South African influencer and adult content creator, intensifying debates on privilege, accountability, and the conduct of political figures.

In response, Senator Oshiomhole’s media team firmly denied the footage’s authenticity, labeling it a "poorly crafted and edited fake AI video” produced by individuals aiming to blackmail him and damage his reputation.

They also pointed out technical flaws, especially around the six-second mark of the approximately 30-second clip, as evidence of digital tampering and artificial intelligence manipulation.
