A Nigerian man who went viral after being spotted collecting jollof rice with his bare hands during Hilda Baci's cookathon has finally found luck.

The unidentified man caught attention online when he was seen standing behind a gate while rice was being served.

With no plate in hand, he resorted to stretching out his palms to receive food. Trapped in the awkward situation, he couldn’t figure out how to withdraw his hands without spilling the food, sparking mixed reactions across social media.

Reacting to the viral clip, talent manager and real estate entrepreneur Ndulue Kenechukwu, popularly known as Onlyonekesh, condemned the incident, describing it as a reflection of how poverty is often weaponised against the poor in Nigeria.

He wrote: "Tag the guy’s handle for me pls. I don’t like this, to be honest. I have something for him, biko. We pray make dem no give us jollof rice wey we no go fit eat. That’s very bad. The girl that shared this jollof rice should learn how to treat people with empathy and benevolence. Lack of money is the greatest source of disrespect.”

After successfully locating the man, Onlyonekesh shared a screenshot of their chat, showing that he sent him money for food, while also promising to meet him when he returned to the country.

“Make I send you cash go chop better rice for Mega Chicken. No downgrade yourself like that again," he told him.

In response, the man posted a video expressing heartfelt gratitude to Onlyonekesh for his kindness and timely support.

This gesture has since earned the talent manager praise online, with many describing his act as a reminder of the importance of empathy and generosity in difficult times.
