Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has expressed his readiness to be part of Finidi George's backroom staff.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is yet to announce the technical team who will work with the former Enyimba boss following his appointment on April 29.

Many have tipped Enyeama as a potential goalkeeper's trainer for the team as the announcement of Finidi George's backroom staff looms.

Emmanuel Amunike, Daniel Amokachi, Michael Nsien, and other former internationals have been rumored as candidates for the assistant coach role.

Speaking on the development, Enyeama declared that he is ready to take up the role if the NFF contacts him.

"The truth is that nobody from the [NFF] has told me anything, and that’s why I am confused with the aspect that I have not responded. They have my contacts, so I believe they would contact me directly if it’s true and not the media. But if it’s true, I am canceling my holiday plans and getting straight to work with the team," the 41-year-old told Afrik-Foot.

"This is one of the best teams anywhere right now, and that’s why I’m really pained by the way the final match against Ivory Coast ended. I will say yes because I would enjoy being a part of this team. There’s a great possibility to achieve so much with them. It is a very balanced side."
