Dan Abba, a suspected bandits’ informant has been arrested by vigilantes with a stolen cow at the Bishini village market in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.

According to some residents of Azzara, a neighboring Bishini village, Abba was arrested when he brought a stolen cow to the market to be sold.

The residents also disclosed that the suspect is among individuals given information to bandits who recently abducted herders and rustled their cows at Kuchimi and Haying-Dam as well as the Gidan-Makeri area of Kagarko town.

The suspect has since been handed over to troops with the stolen cow. The vigilantes are making efforts to trail where some of the stolen cows were kept.

“The vigilantes suspected that the cow the suspect brought to the market might be among those cows that were stolen two weeks ago at a village in Kagarko LGA,” he added.

The police spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, SP Hassan Mansur is yet to comment on the matter.
