Video of Police officers harrassing a young man for refusing to handover his phone

A video of some police officers harassing a young man for refusing to hand over his phone has hit the internet.

According to the post, the incident occurred on Saturday, June 18 at ojo location government, Lagos state.

In the video, the young man insisted on placing a call to his father who is a police officer but they refused as they were seen trying to hijack his phone.

The young man repeatedly called out the police officers for their harassments on him as he was seen been roughed up with four policemen holding the boy's shirt and trouser.

A voice behind the video claimed, another young man also received the same harassment from the police officers.

Although the details of the video is sketchy, some social media users took to Twitter to draw the attention of the Police PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin.

Mill: The fact that bystanders are there and they didn’t even try to intervene is disturbing.

@iamRichyPerry: Police harassment and brutality can never stop in Nigeria. They are not being punished, decommissioned from service or face any consequences in anyway else why does this keep happening despite the media reporting and attention. Catch them on recording they get to go on a break then reassigned to a different unit, harassment continues.
