Social media influencer, Ola of Lagos, was involved in an accident in Abia State when a stage he was performing on collapsed with about a dozen people on it.
Although the reason for his appearance in Abia was unclear, it appears he was invited by Joe Kalu.
A brief video trending on social media showed Ola of Lagos hyping the crowd before the collapse happened.
He said, "I get big love for Igbo. Igbo Kwenu. All of us, we be one. Abi no be so? I just want to use this opportunity to thank una for coming out for Barrister Joe Kalu. He's really a good man to me and to all of use. Thank you Ohafia for welcoming a Yoruba boy to your town."
Right before he dropped the microphone, the stage collapsed on him and about a dozen others still on it.
MyNigeria could not confirm whether the Oba of Lagos or any other person sustained any injuries as a result of the incident. Efforts to reach his management proved abortive.
