VIDEO: Another man chained by father for 15-years rescued in Kano

An unidentified man has been rescued by the police after he was reportedly locked in a room for 15 years by his father at the Sheka neighborhood in Kano.

The man, identified as Ibrahim Lawan, was 20-year-old when he was locked in the room.

Reports say he was chained and caged for reasons best known by his parents.

A video clip that has since circulated online showed how operatives of the police in the state rescued the now 35-year-old from an uncompleted building around 11:45 am on Sunday.

In the video, he had lost weight and looked abnormally thin when he was rescued. He was immediately rushed to the Nasarawa Hospital in Kano.

His rescue comes days after another man, Aliya resident of Farawa Babban Layi in Mariri Quarters of Kumbotso Local Government Area, was rescued by the police after being held in isolation for seven years by his parents.
