The All Progressives Congress primaries concluded yesterday, June 8 at the Eagles Square in Abuja, with Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerging flagbearer of the party.

Bola Tinubu won with a landslide of 1,271 votes beating his closest contender, Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi who polled 316 and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo scoring 235 votes.

The event saw the presence of President Muhamadu Buhari, his wife Aisha Buhari; Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; and other high ranking members of the party.

However, during the primaries there were some events that unfolded causing reactions from Nigerians.

DJ plays 'Wake up! Collect your money' as Tinubu walked to the podium

The Disc Jockey (DJ) at the All Progressives Congress presidential primaries held at the Eagles Square in Abuja played a song that brought about hillarious reactions from people.

As the primary was underway, Presidential aspirant Bola Tinubu was called unto the podium to give his final message to delegates before voting began.

Making his way to deliver his speech the DJ played Kizz Daniel's "Buga". However, the lyrics of the song had the words "Don't sleep! Wake up! Collect your money".



Raise your hands if you love President Buhari - APC delegates refused

The All Progressives Congress primaries held at the Eagles Square in Abuja, delegates were asked to raise their hands if they loved President Muhammadu Buhari, but they refused.

The video which has since been making rounds, showed the host asking delegates to raise their hands if they love President Buhari.

Unfortunately, all the delegates were captured sitting quietly as they refused to raise their hands. President Buhari who was seated at the VIP section of the Square looked on.



APC Primaries: Tinubu's shaky hands appear again as he struggles to read his speech

The former Lagos governor who is one of the leading aspirants of the ruling party displaced a unique behavior that shows his health could be a problem if he is elected as the party's candidate in the 2023 general elections.

The APC chieftain lost his footing when he was called to address delegates at the start of the convention while another video showed his hands shaking in an attempt to flip through the pages of his speech.



Mild drama as Tinubu 'ignores' Osinbajo but later goes to greet him at the primaries

Bola TInubu was captured to have ignored Yemi Osinbajo whiles paying his respect to President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife at the VIP booth of the Eagles Square.

The newly elected flagbearer of the party was later reminded by Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker, House of Representatives to greet the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo.

He exclaimed as he seemed to have forgotten that presidential aspirant was present. He then walked towards the vice president and they exchanged pleasantries.



Yahaya Bello snubs Chairman Adamu at presidential primaries

The Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello failed to shake the hands of All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman Abdullahi Adamu at the ongoing party's presidential primaries has become the conversation on social media.

Bello could be seen shaking hands with top party officials.

He first shook hands with the former governor of Edo State and National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole who sat right beside Adamu. When it was time for Bello to shake hands with Adamu, he snubbed him completely and proceeded to greet President Muhammamadu Buhari and Aisha Buhari.

President Muhammadu Buhari's facial expression was captured on screen looking despondent as the All Progressives Congress presidential aspirants stepped down for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

As the primaries went on, some delegates took a decision to step down from the presidential race of the party. In the moment, a photo of President Buhari's facial expression was captured.
