Adeoye Owolewa has no doubt made Nigeria proud
As the first Nigerian to win a seat in the US Congress, Owolewa has been congratulated for his massive victory

For emerging as the first Nigerian to be elected into the United States (US) House of Representatives, Adeoye Owolewa has attracted praises and accolades to himself from his homeland.
One of those who congratulated Owolewa was the minister of youth and sports development, Sunday Dare, on Thursday, November 5.
Dare tweeted on Thursday that the lawmaker-elect has done his country proud in no small way.
The minister said:
“Congrats are in place for the 31-year old Adeoye Owolewa for making Nigeria proud by being the first Nigerian to win a seat in the United States Congress.”Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Owolewa had been elected to the country's Congress, becoming the first to do so.
The 31-year-old politician ran on the platform of the Democratic Party to represent Washington DC in the House of Representatives.
After the news of his victory was shared by @APCUKingdom, Nigerians took to the comment section to congratulate their own.
