The federal government has unveiled what it describes as the world's largest portrait on canvas.
This unveiling took place at the Eagles Square in Abuja on Wednesday, June 25 in commemoration of Democracy Day.
The painter, Opeyemi Alaba, said the painting brings a message of hope to Nigerians and will serve as an identity for the African continent.
TVC journalist Nifemi Oguntoye revealed in a post on X that the portrait measures 64 by 32 feet.
"The portrait, measuring 64 by 32 feet, was created by 37 artists, each representing a state in Nigeria and the FCT to honor President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Unveiling of the world’s largest human portrait painted on canvas at the Eagles Square," he wrote.

Alaba said the portraits of Queen Elizabeth and former US President Barack Obama served as inspiration for the work.
He further noted that proceeds from the sales of the painting will be used to feed 250,000 Nigerians for three months from June to October.
"We are selling it, and the proceeds are going to 250,000 Nigerians. Our intention is to give 50,000 naira to Nigerians monthly by dividing it from June to October. These portraits will set a worldwide record and will also be regarded as the most expensive painting in the world," he said in the interview on TVC.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu commemorated his first Democracy Day as President, marking Nigeria's 25th since the fourth republic.
The President smiled as his face was unveiled.
