The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi has said that he will never knowingly break any law.

He said this following his detention by the Immigration Service which occurred during his arrival at the Heathrow Airport in April, 2023.

Taking to his social media page, Peter Obi noted that he is not afraid of the lies and propaganda against him and the emergence of a New Nigeria.

In a statement shared last Wednesday, he noted that Oni was detained and questioned for a duplication offense, which means that someone has been impersonating him in London.

Speaking on the issue, the Labour Party had earlier said that the spontaneous reaction of Nigerians at Heathrow Airport saved Peter Obi who was questioned for a long time.

Reacting to the arrest, Peter Obi wrote on Twitter;

“There may be more mud slinging from those who are against the emergence of the New Nigeria but, I would never be deterred by the obstacles along the way to victory. I have always lived my life in the most law abiding manner.

“Sometimes as humans, we make mistakes but, I will never knowingly break any law. I am therefore not afraid of the lies and propaganda against my person. They are part of the journey to a New Nigeria.

"I encourage Nigerians to remain calm and steadfast in the journey to reclaiming their mandate of a New Nigeria. I will never give up on this journey until victory is achieved," he tweeted.
