Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will have his eye on another European record when Galatasaray face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Pep Guardiola’s side will host the Turkish champions at the Etihad Stadium in the final round of the UCL league phase.

Osimhen has so far netted 12 goals in European competitions for Galatasaray since joining the club on an initial loan deal from Napoli last season.

The 27-year-old is currently tied on the same number of goals as former Czech international Milan Baroš and ex-DR Congo striker Shabani Nonda.

A goal at the Etihad would see Osimhen surpass the duo to become Galatasaray’s most prolific scorer in European competitions.

The former Napoli forward has already scored six goals in five UEFA Champions League matches for the Yellow and Red this season.
