Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen shone as Galatasaray edged Liverpool 1–0 at RAMS Park in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
Despite not finding the back of the net, the 27-year-old was on hand with an assist, setting up Mario Lemina for the only goal of the game in the first half.
Lemina's strike gave the Yellow and Reds a slim advantage heading into the second leg at Anfield next week.
According to OptaJoe, Osimhen has become the first Nigerian international to be involved in eight goals in a single UEFA Champions League campaign.
The former Napoli striker has now registered seven goals and one assist in this season's UCL campaign.
Osimhen has now surpassed Ademola Lookman, Tijani Babangida, Yakubu Ayegbeni, and John Utaka, who all managed six goal contributions in a single campaign.
