The league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League campaign concluded on Wednesday after all Matchday 8 fixtures were played.

Football fans were spoilt for choice as the final Matchday featured 18 matches played simultaneously across Europe.

It was a night full of drama, surprise victories and major upsets involving some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

While the likes of Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur maintained their impressive form in the competition, there were shocking results for Real Madrid and their city rivals, Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester City also secured crucial victories to book their places in the top eight of the Champions League standings.
