Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman was visibly distraught after being substituted in Atalanta’s UEFA Champions League match against Marseille on Wednesday night.
The reigning African Footballer of the Year was involved in a heated altercation with his manager on the touchline after being replaced by Yunus Musah in the 75th minute.
Juric grabbed Lookman aggressively before CEO Luca Percassi and teammate Marten de Roon intervened to separate the two and prevent further escalation of the issue.
It was unclear what Lookman said to the manager that left him incensed, but it was evident that the Nigerian international was unhappy with the substitution.
La Dea went on to secure a 1–0 victory over Marseille, with Lazar Samardžić scoring the winner in the 90th minute.
