RB Leipzig have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Uefa Champions League after a double-leg win over last year's runner-up, Tottenham.

The German side overpowered the injury-plagued English team in a 4-0 aggregate mauling after winning the first leg by a lone goal.

Sabitzer opened the scoring in the 10th minute and he compounded Spurs' woes in the 21minute by adding another.

Emil Forsberg's 87th-minute goal put a nail to the coffin after just 20 seconds in.

Spurs manager, Jose Mourinho has now lost eight Champions League knockout matches since 2014.

Atalanta's Ilicic bagges four to eliminate Valencia

Meanwhile, Atalanta hammered Valencia 8-3 on aggregate

Italian side, Atalanta have also made it through to the next phase of the Uefa Champions League after cruising 8-4 on aggregate against Valencia.

Josip Ilicic scored four goals on the night against a Spanish side who were looking to overturn a three-goal deficit, after a 4-1 thumping in the first leg in Italy.

He became the oldest player to score an away Champions League hat-trick - aged 32 years and 41 days.

Valencia were able to score three goals but it wasn't enough to stop the Champions League debutant from reaching the last eight of the competition.

The game ended 4-3 as Valencia suffered a double defeat, crashing out 8-4 on aggregate.
