Super Eagles legend Austin Jay-Jay Okocha shared his reaction following his former club Paris Saint-Germain’s historic victory in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday, May 31.
The French Ligue 1 champions thrashed Inter Milan with a resounding 5-0 win at the Allianz Arena to claim their first-ever Champions League title.
A brace from Desire Doue, along with goals from Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Senny Mayulu, secured a remarkable victory for Luis Enrique’s side.
Speaking in a post-match interview with TNT Sports, Okocha praised PSG’s tactical approach, emphasizing how they made the game look so easy.
“The way PSG did it, you know, they made it look so easy,” Okocha said.
“They came with a good game plan, and it worked out really well for them. I think they totally deserve it.”
He added, “I predicted 2-1, but who cares? I wanted to see them win, and they did. It’s great for the club—the first time in their history—and I think it’s good for football as well.”
Okocha played for Paris Saint-Germain from 1998 to 2002 before joining Bolton Wanderers in the Premier League.
