Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele has responded to the hostile reception he received on his return to the home grounds of his former club.

The Frenchman was booed and jeered by the Barcelona fans during his side's second leg win over the Spanish giants in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.

The former Borussia Dortmund man scored in both legs to help PSG to a 6-4 aggregate win over Barcelona.

The 26-year-old spearheaded PSG's comeback after equalizing in the 40th minute after Rafinha had given the Catalans an early lead.

He also won a penalty which was dispatched by Kylian Mbappe as PSG cruised to 4-1 win over 10-man Barca side at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.

Dembele was adjudged the Man of the match after putting his former side to the sword.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Dembele expressed his love for his former side adding that he understands the fans.

“The welcome given to me? I experienced it very well because I already experienced it in 2021, of being whistled here in Barcelona.

“I am not going to change my game for whistles. I stayed focused. I gave it my all. Barca is a great club. I love Barcelona… and I understand the whistles. That’s life.”

PSG will take on Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals.
