UCL: Date for Juventus tie not finalized yet - Lyon clarify

Olympique Lyonnais have clarified that the date for their Champions League Last-16 second leg against Juventus has not been finalized yet.

This is in contrast to last night's comments by Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas that the match will take place on August 7.

Recall that the first tie ended 1-0 in favour of the seven-time French Ligue 1 champions and UEFA is reportedly drawing a calendar for an August return fro the UCL with the second leg in Turin rumoured to hold around August 7 or 8.

The club's statement read: "Olympique Lyonnais would like to clarify that the date of the Juventus-OL match, in the Champions League knockout rounds, has not been finalised yet, contrary to what was previously suggested.

"The date for this Round-of-16 game should be confirmed as part of planning for the final stages of the Champions League, which will be announced directly by UEFA soon.

"Olympique Lyonnais are also waiting impatiently for the Final of the Coupe de la Ligue, probably in early August, which will allow us, unlike other teams, to prepare for this essential part of the season.

"OL nonetheless regret the difference in preparation compared to their European competitors, who have practically resumed training already."
