Twitter user clamours for Toni Kan sack, tag him Enemy Within

A Twitter user, @iam_ademuyiwa has clamoured for the sack of Nigerian writer, Toni Kan who was recently appointed as a spokesperson to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development, Sadiya Farouq.

Ademuyiwa pressed for his immediate sack because Kan used to be a staunch member of the opposition party and a strong critic of President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

Tagging the accomplished writer as an enemy within, he said Kan was the reason why the Minister's efforts were not widespread.

"A lot of work is being done by the ministry but nobody is hearing about it. How can @Sadiya_farouq give a PDP member and staunch enemy of @MBuhari the task to announce @FMHDSD achievements?

"Isn’t that what we call an OWN GOAL? #EnemyWithin and that of PROGRESSiveness," Ademuyiwa asked.

Ademuyiwa continued with his attack, calling Toni Kan a snitch and a mole.

Other Nigerians advised the Minister to take Muyiwa's side.

Not everyone agrees with Muyiwa. A few others think he is the best for the job.

Is he or she qualified for the job? If yes, then I think the appointment is in order cos the last time I checked, the minister is for the Federal Government of Nigeria and not of APC. We must always learn to draw the lines. After all, it is a big service to hold govt accountable
