Turkish journalist Ferhat Kızıltaş has shared insight into why Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is interested in a move to Galatasaray.

According to Kızıltaş, the reigning African Footballer of the Year has been impressed by the love shown to his Super Eagles compatriot Victor Osimhen by the passionate Galatasaray fans.

Lookman, 28, has been linked with a move to the Turkish champions in the January transfer window.

The Super Eagles winger tried to force a move away from the Bergamo-based side last summer after they rejected Inter Milan's €45 million bid for his signature.

“If Galatasaray makes an official offer to Lookman during the mid-season break, there is a high probability that they will complete this transfer,” Kızıltaş told Habersarikirmizi.

“Lookman follows Galatasaray’s matches. He is also impressed by the love shown to Osimhen. He wants to play here.”

Lookman has struggled to replicate his brilliant form from last season, managing just one goal for La Dea this term.
