Trump, Obama and Other celebs pay tribute to Kobe Bryant

"Continuing to move the game forward @KingJames. Much respect my brother ???????? #33644"- this was Kobe Bryant's last tweet hours before he was killed alongside his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Maria Onore Bryant, in a chopper crash around 10:00am (American time) on Sunday.

Bryant's death comes a day after LeBron James passed him as No. 3 on the NBA all-time scoring list when he scored 33,643 points. Lebron's action trigged his last message on Twitter.

Kobe, 41, popularly known as the " Black Mamba" and his daughter Gigi were expected at the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks for a basketball game scheduled for noon Sunday. Gianna was expected to play in the game and Bryant was expected to coach, according to Lady Mavericks team director Evelyn Morales.[CNN]

As the world mourns one of the best basketball player to ever grace the court, celebrities including the past and present presidents of the United States, Barrack Obama and Donald Trump, respectively, Lebron James, Liverpool and Arsenal's Virgil Van Dijk and Alexander Lacazette, respectively, as well as a host of other sportsmen and celebs have paid tribute to the Black Mamba.

President Trump tweeted about Kobe's death ... saying, "Reports are that basketball great Kobe Bryant and three others have been killed in a helicopter crash in California. That is terrible news!"

Barack Obama says, "Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act." "To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day."

Michael Jordan has spoken on Kobe's death, saying ... "I am in shock over the tragic news of Kobe's and Gianna's passing. Words can't describe the pain I'm feeling. I loved Kobe -- he was like a little brother to me. We used to talk often, and I will miss those conversations very much."

He adds, "He was a fierce competitor, one of the greats of the game and a creative force. Kobe was also an amazing dad who loved his family deeply -- and took great pride in his daughter's love for the game of basketball. Yvette joins me in sending my deepest condolences to Vanessa, the Lakers organization and basketball fans around the world."

Shaquille O'Neal just posted a tribute to Kobe ... saying, "There’s no words to express the pain I’m going through now with this tragic and sad moment of loosing my friend, my brother, my partner in winning championships, my dude and my homie."

He continued, "I love you brother and you will be missed. My condolences goes out to the Bryant family and the families of the other passengers on board. IM SICK RIGHT NOW!"



"Nooooooooooo God please No!" retired NBA player Dwyane Wade tweeted at the news.

Former NBA player Scottie Pippen tweeted: "I'm stunned. Words can't even come close to describing it. Just an incredibly sad and tragic day."
