Premier League giants Manchester United have taken their interest in Wilfred Ndidi a notch higher, according to the latest transfer reports.
As reported by Caught Offside, the Red Devils have opened talks with the Leicester City midfielder over personal terms.
The 28-year-old is keen to leave the King Power Stadium following the Foxes’ relegation from the Premier League last season.
Ndidi could be available for just £9 million, thanks to a relegation clause inserted in his last contract with Leicester City last year.
Manchester United are eager to sign an experienced midfielder for manager Ruben Amorim ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Ndidi has also attracted interest from several clubs in Germany, Spain, Italy, and Turkey.
The former Genk man would become only the second Nigerian to play for the Red Devils, following Odion Ighalo’s stint at Old Trafford.
