Transfer: Liverpool set to hijack Galatasaray's deal for Osimhen

Premier League champions Liverpool have reportedly rekindled their interest in Victor Osimhen.

According to emerging reports, the Reds are considering sending representatives to Napoli to inquire about the Nigerian international.

Liverpool are keen on strengthening their attack in the coming season to stand a greater chance of defending their Premier League crown.

The club is also eyeing a move for Newcastle United's Alexander Isak, who is said to be their first option for the centre-forward role.

Osimhen has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.

However, Galatasaray remains the only club to have shown real interest in signing him on a permanent deal following his outstanding campaign with the club last term.

The Turkish Super Lig giants are currently in talks with Napoli to sign Osimhen on a permanent deal, but have seen their fourth bid for the Nigerian rejected by the Serie A side.

Galatasaray are reportedly considering another bid for the former Lille striker, as Napoli wants more in second installment payments and a sell-on clause for the former African Footballer of the Year.
