Chelsea on Friday announced transfer deals for two players amid the ongoing January transfer window.
In a separate statement via their website, the Premier League west London club announced that Leo Castledine has left Stamford Bridge and joined Championship club Middlesbrough on a permanent transfer.
Castledine, who can play in defence and midfield, joined Chelsea’s Academy in March 2020 as an Under-15 from AFC Wimbledon.
He captained Chelsea’s Under-18s regularly during the 2021/22 campaign and stepped up to play Under-21s football during the 2022/23 season.
Similarly, Chelsea also announced that Caleb Wiley has returned to the club after being recalled from his loan at Watford.
After spending the second half of the last season at Vicarage Road, the USA international returned to the Hornets on loan in July.
The 21-year-old, who has gained more experience in the Championship, originally joined Chelsea in July 2024.
