Demola Olarewaju, an aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has warned that President Bola Tinubu will do to Nigerians what he did to Igbos living in Lagos State.

According to him, Tinubu discarded the Igbos after using them to rise to power as governor of Lagos State.

Sharing on X, Olarewaju said Tinubu, who will face his boss Atiku at the polls in 2027, will bring an end to the concept of Nigeria as a country.

He shared, "A Tinubu second term is a change of the destiny of any potential Nigeria ever had - example being the cosmopolitan Lagos where everyone felt ‘at home’.

"Baba came in and first sided with the Igbos against Afenifere in 2003 and appointed Igbos into LASG;

"Only to discard them once he became stronger.

"A Tinubu second term is an end to the concept of Nigeria as a country with potential that we knew; this man who also knows its potential will milk it into the now and the afterlife."
