Former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has called on the administration of President Bola Tinubu to ensure that the.mob which killed 16 Northerners in Uromi, Edo State, are prosecuted.
The mob killed and burnt the travellers after suspecting that they were kidnappers troubling their community.
Reacting via a statement, Fani-Kayode said the callous and barbaric slaughter of northern hunters is condemnable.
He said, "Those behind it MUST be brought to book as soon as possible. There can be no justification for jungle justice and those that have attempted to rationalise or justify such animalistic and savage behaviour by demonising the victims and calling them "terrorists" and "kidnappers" are just as bad as the perpetrators. We are either governed by the rule of law or we are not. Lynching our compatriots in the streets for any reason whatsoever is unacceptable and I call on the administration of @officialABAT to act fast and apprehend the murderers. Every single one of them deserves to face the consequences of their grave actions which is not only deplorable but is also threatening the peace and unity of our country. Human life is sacred and those that delight in taking it are worse than beasts."
