Senator Shehu Sani has alleged that President Bola Tinubu’s government plans to spend a staggering N31 billion to renovate the Abuja Stadium.

The stadium was previously renovated in 2022 by billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote, who spent $1 million on the project.

In a post expressing his thoughts on the government’s intention to renovate the infrastructure again just a few years later with a significant amount of money, Sani stated that he is curious to see which areas of the stadium require renovation.

Sani wrote on X, “In 2022, Dangote renovated the Abuja stadium with $1 million, and I heard the stadium is among those to be renovated with N31 Billion in 2025…I will find out where would be renovated.”

His post sparked various reactions from Nigerians on social media.
