Reno Omokri, a leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called out popular on-air personality, Rufai Oseni following a press statement the Chicago State University (CSU) released confirming President Bola Tinubu attended the varsity.

Both men had been at loggerheads prior to the 2023 presidential elections as Omokri, a member of the Atiku/Okowa campaign at the time sought to prove that Bola Tinubu attended CSU despite the public doubts that he didn't.

Rufai Oseni on the other hand had on several occasions questioned Omokri's claims at the time as he continued to doubt the President was an alumnus of the school.

Following CSU's confirmation that President Tinubu attended the institution, Reno Omokri has called out Arise TV for not correcting what he described as "propaganda" by Mr Oseni

"How can AriseTV put a known liar on air to feed Nigerians propaganda and call it news? Mr Rufai Oseni is a liar. I proved it to AriseTV without a shadow of a doubt. Till today, AriseTV has still not done a correction to that interview stating that Mr Rufai Oseni lied to Nigerians that Chicago State University denied Tinubu's records after being hit with a subpoena. Now, I ask AriseTV and Mr Oseni to produce the so-called subpoena to Nigerians or afoot that they published LIES to Nigerians and refused to call their presenter to order when he maligned me," he said in a post on his Instagram post.

Recall, that Chicago State University (CSU) has given a condition to release the credentials of President Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu’s main opponent in the last presidential election, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had filed an application for his rival’s academic record.

Atiku had approached a US court at the northern district of Illinois in Chicago, for an order compelling the CSU to release the academic records of Tinubu.

Documents sought by Atiku, through his counsel, Angela M. Liu, include record of his admission and acceptance at the university, dates of attendance including degrees, awards and honours attained by Tinubu at the university, among others.
