Tinubu’s Inauguration: Peter Obi urges citizens to remain calm, law abiding

Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has urged Nigerians to remain calm and law abiding.

He said that it is only the court of law that will decide the actual winner of the poll in time. Peter Obi made this known ahead of Bola Tinubu's inauguration on Monday, May 29.

Speaking on the sidelines of an event in Kaduna State, Obi noted that the unity, peace and security of the country is paramount than any other interest and he is calling on all Nigerians to work for the progress and development of the country.

He said; “We must continue to live on the path of peace, religious harmony, ethnic harmony, coexistence, that is the most important thing for now.

“Let’s have a peaceful, quiet Nigeria where government will concentrate on caring for the sufferings of the people.”

Peter Obi is contesting the outcome of the 2023 presidential election that produced Bola Tinubu as the winner as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

He queries the process of the election as he claims the polls was flawed with irregularities and that it lacked transparency.

Peter Obi who was accompanied by his running mate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed who also tasked the incoming administrations at all levels to deals with issues of high youth unemployment, poverty and insecurity especially in the Northern region, adding that such critical areas must be addressed by elected leaders
