Tinubu renames Nigeria to incite investors

President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his commitment to prosper the economy of the country as well as restore the confidence of the people amid the current hardship.

Speaking during an event with investors, Tinubu described Nigeria as a self-belief and determined country saying, "Our first name is Spirit, and our last name is Can Do."

In the viral video, Tinubu recounted his message to the foreign stakeholders saying the country can drive the economy from within, urging them to consider Nigeria as a prime destination for their investments.

“If the private sector is not flourishing, there’s no growth, there’s no prosperity, there’s no employment, no matter how flowery the speeches are it won’t grow any mushroom. Thank you for persevering and enduring the turning moment of our economy.

The President said he told the investors at the UK stock exchange; “At the end of my remarks, I told them we only want them to show their face and diversify Nigeria’s economy, not as if we cannot do it ourselves."

He further said; “You voluntarily elected me, I campaigned for it, I got it, I have no excuse but to perform. I can’t complain that it is stressful but the joy in it is to see that little child be inspired to take the step but related to the changes that we are going through, and that is what we are doing .”

Tinubu’s video has since attracted several reactions from Nigerians on social media.
