Tinubu joins Buhari for prayers at Presidential Villa

President Muhammadu Buhari received President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, April 28, where they both observed Jumaat prayers at the State House Mosque in the Presidential Villa.

Taking to his Twitter Page, Tinubu expressed his gratitude to the president for being a warm and gracious host.

According to him, he looked forward to a smooth and orderly transition of power.

"I observed today’s Jumaat prayers at the State House Mosque in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where President Muhammadu Buhari served as a gracious host. I am grateful to him for the warmth and solidarity as we continue in the joint democratic effort to ensure a smooth and orderly transition of power," Tinubu said.

He was accompanied by House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila and his personal aides.

The Chief Imam of the State House Mosque, Ustadh Abdul-Wahid Suleiman, was said to have led the two Rakaat (units) of prayers.

Also present were House Majority Leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa; Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; National Security Adviser, retired Major General Babagana Munguno; and Director General, National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, among other government officials.
