Segun Sowunmi, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, has raised concerns over the calibre of people President Bola Tinubu has appointed in his government.

According to him, bringing recycled people and saying that is the best he can find is unacceptable and Tinubu needs to do better.

He noted that President Tinubu begged for the job, cried ‘emilokan’ and even felt entitled about the presidency and as a result, no one will cut him some slack.

Sowunmi urge Tinubu to fix his house and ensure all the issues are properly dealt with.

Speaking in an interview on Wednesday, August 9, with Seun Okinbaloye on Channels Television, Politics Today, Sowunmi said;

"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not want sympathy, he ordered for the job, he begged for it, cried for it, he said Emilokan, he was even entitled about it. No one is going to give him a slack on the job. He needs to go and fix his house, he needs to get them to be more serious, he needs to look at the issues properly and he needs to understand that Nigeria is a multidimensional, multicultural country and it is a young country. You can't keep bringing recycled people and telling us that is the best you can find. No that is not the best."
