Tinubu, Wike in closed door meeting, details emerge

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a closed-door meeting with the newly elected Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike at the presidency on Thursday, August 24.

The meeting happened against the backdrop of the building collapse which happened in the early hours of Thursday.

The former governor of Rivers State was expected to brief the President on the unfortunate incident and the extent of the damage.

Two persons were reportedly killed in another incident of building collapse that occurred on Wednesday, but it remains unclear if it forms part of the minister's agenda for meeting the President.
