Tinubu Vs Atiku: PDP loses 5000 members to APC again

Massive deflection hit the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos state as 5000 members join the All Progressives Congress.

Report indicates that the defectors are members and supporters of the governorship candidate Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor’s movement, “Lagos for Lagos".

On Thursday, October 27, the members wore an orange T-shirt and fez caps, stormed the APC office on Acme road, Ogba, Ikeja, holding brooms while singing and dancing.

The state deputy governor, Obafemi Hamzat, and the APC chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi received the defectors.

Addressing the defectors, the deputy governor noted that while it was possible for anyone to be misled, it was foolishness to continue to be on the wrong part after the right path had been discovered.

His statement reads in part: “The state is moving in a right direction. This is the right decision. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has the eye of talents and ability to manage people.

Prior to this, some members of the PDP in Sokoto joined the APC in the Arewa state with the defectors promising to work for the good of the party ahead of the 2023 election.
