A video has exposed a group of touts stationed at the Trade Fair under pass, extorting money from Lagos residents.

In the video, a woman explained that the thugs were taking N100 from each person before allowing them to use a narrow road under the bridge because of flooding on the main road.

The video shows that several people who couldn’t pay the N100 were prevented from passing.

This would not be the first time such an incident would occur in Lagos State.

Recall that in March 2023, some thugs were caught extorting N100 levy from two women with heavy luggage before giving them access to the Yaba bridge.

After massive outcry from Nigerians, the thugs were arrested and sentenced to one month in jail.

The viral video has caused a huge outcry from social media users.
