The death of Mrs. Ifeoma Kalu, the first wife of Senator Orji Kalu was made public on Monday, April 3.

Ifeoma according to Orji Kalu died in the United States of America. She was 61 years old.

In a statement signed by him on his Facebook post, he wrote: “With a heavy heart and pain, we announce the passing on to the eternal glory of Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu aged 61.

“She was a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.

“A memorial service in her honor is scheduled to hold in the United States of America.”

He urged the public to remember Mrs Ifeoma and her loved ones in prayers during this difficult period.

Tributes have since been pouring in after the news broke. President Muhammadu Buhari, President-elect, Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have extended condolences to the bereaved.
