International Afrobeats star Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, has officially debunked long-standing rumors of a feud between himself and fellow music heavyweight Davido.

Speaking during an interview with Apple Music's Ebro Darden and Laura Stylez, the Calm Down hitmaker firmly dismissed speculations that there has ever been tension or bad blood between the two artistes.

When asked directly about his current relationship with other Afrobeats stars and past reported issues with Davido, Rema set the record straight.

"That’s rumors. Omo, that is rumors ooo. Like, from day one, I’ve never had problems with artistes. I’m saying I have so much respect for the OGs," Rema stated. "I don’t look for no one trouble. I just want to make good music, I don’t want to fight."

The Mavin Records star further explained that online fan bases often fuel narrative rivalries by drawing constant comparisons between artists, which can misrepresent healthy industry dynamics as active conflict.

“Davido and I have no issues; those are just rumours. I have so much respect for the OGs. Fans are always the ones starting things. I used to caution my fans, but sometimes the other artiste enjoys the comparisons and doesn’t do the same, so I stopped.”
