Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has shared his honest thoughts following his side’s defeat to Italian champions Inter Milan in their Serie A clash.
I Nerazzurri thumped Udinese 5-3 in a thrilling encounter at the Giuseppe Meazza on Monday night, September 14.
Christian Chivu’s side came from two goals down early in the opening 15 minutes to turn the game on its head.
Goals from Carlos Augusto, Nicolò Barella, Marcus Thuram, Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny cancelled out James Abankwah and Jürgen Ekkelenkamp’s early strikes, before Idrissa Gueye reduced the deficit in stoppage time.
Speaking in his post-match reaction, Super Eagles goalkeeper Okoye admitted that Inter Milan were too strong for the Zebras.
“It’s always difficult against Inter at San Siro. They play very attacking football and don’t stop even after scoring three or four goals. We also had our chances, but they are too strong,” Okoye told Udinese’s official website.
