Convener of the #RevolutionNow protest has given details about the court proceedings that transpired in Abuja earlier on today.

The defendant, who also serves as the Publisher of Sahara Reporters said the Federal Government was unprepared for the case. He said that all they did (the Federal Government) was amend the charges while revealing that their initial prosecutors were absent.

Sowore who took to Twitter to narrate the turn of events did well to state that the charges of money laundering and cyberbullying of the President was dropped.

"Fellas: We are back from court and we could only report what you already knew about tyranny. They came to court unprepared, they amended their charges and their initial prosecutors were absent. Today’s Prosecutor(s) claimed they didn’t know the previous ones in open court.

"They’ve also removed the charges of money laundering and cyberbullying President @MBuhari. We will back in court tomorrow!" he tweeted.

The Department of State Services had in August 2019 arrested Sowore and his codefendant, Olawale Bakare, in respect of the protest.

They were subsequently charged with a treasonable felony for allegedly planning to topple the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, among other counts including abusing the President.

They were held in custody for over four months until mounting domestic and international pressure forced the government to release them in December.
