There's a plot to attack the National Assembly - Lawal

Senate President, Ahmad Lawal has stated that there is a security threat on the National Assembly.

Lawal made this known on Monday at an emergency closed door meeting with security officials during which he called for the beefing up of security in the National Assembly complex.

According to Lawal, unknown and uninvited people “came or are coming into the National Assembly complex and we felt we shouldn’t take this lightly.

“From today, we have to find temporary solution to support the security arrangement here.

”We will find a more permanent solution by the time the entire environment is remodeled,” Lawan said.

Present at the meeting are Director General of the Department of Security Service (DSS) and representatives of the Defence, Police, Civil Defence, Fire Service and other security agencies

Lawal also charged the legislative and executive arms of government concerning the security of all Nigerians.
